Through a series of public meetings, email surveys, and web-based research, the Project seeks to identify “best practices” from local districts and around the nation, any or all of which might be adopted by a superintendent or governing board.

Core Principles: Maintain current desired programs. Improve current choices Ensure teacher and staff compensation and support that allow for competitive recruitment and retention. Ensure class sizes that are conducive to optimal learning. Consider civil rights and demographic impacts. Use existing facilities efficiently. Enhance or add facilities and equipment to provide additional programs that meet student needs in the 21st Century. Provide safe and healthy learning environments. Seek public input on the model and its recommendations.
