The Model School District Project is a community-based effort to improve public education.  Comprised of parents, educators, and community leaders from three school districts in Maricopa County, the Project evolved from a discussion of school district consolidation to finding ways to model "best practices" for a district of any size.

Our Purpose:

To envision and design a model system for delivering education in ways that prepare students
for success in the 21st Century and ignite the community’s interest.  The Project takes no
position on school district consolidation; the model’s components and
underlying ideas will be applicable to districts of all sizes and scopes.
